Hi, I’m Patrick.

  • Obsessed with HoneyCrisp apples and buy them in bulk (I eat 20 per week)

  • Love going to the doctor and dentist.  Does that make me old?

  • Would be a geologist or weatherman if not a therapist

  • Can easily lose track of time engaging in a discussion on existential crises

  • Can easily get lost in the vortex of lawn weeding

  • I have 7 children (14, 13, 3, 4 quads that are 1 year old) and became the father of quadruplet boys at age 50!

  • "Patrick has helped me identify negative thought patterns that I have been struggling with my entire life and is helping me develop tools to be in control of my emotions and take back control of my life."

  • "With the help of Patrick I am learning to become more mindful and embrace the present moment and not get lost in the depression of the past or the anxiety of the future."

  • "I have described Patrick as the equivalent of a personal trainer for the mind. He is going to encourage you to do the hard work that you need to do to gain emotional self-mastery while helping to identify the tools and thought patterns that are needed to get you there."

  • "I have struggled finding a good therapist and stumbled upon Patrick as a result of a mental health crisis. Patrick had a different approach to therapy than I have tried in the past, he encouraged me to be emotionally honest with myself and take ownership of my emotions and reactions. He was a key part of the recovery process to become mentally healthy for myself and my family. I would recommend Patrick to anybody who wants to gain control of their lives."

  • "Patrick referred me to the mental health treatment centers that I needed. He was able to help me understand myself better and did not hesitate to refer me to a place that could provide me with the most appropriate help for me. If I ever need guidance in my mental health again I’m coming back here and asking for Patrick."

  • "Patrick made me feel comfortable right away. I was in a rough place in my life and it was very easy to be open and honest with him. I felt like he really heard me...he was present and listening without judgement. I felt truly seen for the first time in a very long time. Patrick is great at helping me keep a healthy perspective on life. I am grateful he is who he is!"

Your best life.

I know it feels like a mountain to climb to find a good therapist. The doubts of it being “a good fit” or if any progress will even happen are real and are understandable.

Maybe you’ve tried therapy already and you’ve read all the self-help books you could find and still - you’re not where you want to be in life.

Something is missing.

The struggle, the heaviness, the loneliness, and the hopelessness are following you around like little dark (very annoying) clouds that you just can’t shake.

Not without that extra guidance and support from a counselor or therapist already waiting to help you tap into your best self - your best life.

Ultimately, you just want to find that therapist that you feel heard by, maybe crack a laugh or two with, connect with about your pets and your people, and to actually find yourself looking forward to your sessions with them.

And to actually start making some real progress with.

I get it. And I want that for you too.

That’s why I make sure to see if we are a great match, right from the start. In a comfortable and easy-going, free 15 minute consultation.

I don’t want to waste your time or investment in your own healing.

“My hope is for you to be able to develop the space in your life to grow into the person you were really meant to be.”

- Patrick Hagler

So what can you expect from me as your therapist?

I have been told that I don't sugarcoat things, that I say what needs to be said, but in a gentle, non-judgmental way. I will be totally present and invested in our sessions together.

You can expect me to be serious about your healing, but also silly and irreverent at times. With a huge dose of calm and with a dash of excitement

As a Gestalt and MBCT therapist I don't focus on the past and typically don’t refer to it unless necessary.  I work in the here-and-now primarily.
Ultimately, I am going to be human with you in our sessions, while also bringing expertise, education, and coaching so you get exactly what you want out of our sessions.
